GUISBOROUGH UNDER 15’S V CLECKHEATON UNDER 15’S

Guisborough took on Cleckheaton in the Yorkshire Plate last Sunday and came away with a resounding 48 – 0 win. The Front row trio of Tim Pigg, Ant Mahon and Adam Tibbett controlled the game from start to finish. Excellent work from the Guisborough forwards opened up spaces all over the park. Tom Lynn scored 3 tries, and as usual had a hand in most things that went on. Ben Price scored twice with some good runs from fullback as well as making some fine tackles. Scrum half Tom Crown had the easiest of scores in the corner after the forwards had produced some fantastically controlled driving play marshalled by the enthusiastic captaincy of No 8 Owen Edwards. No single player was awarded the man of the match accolade, as it was an excellent team effort. A fine all round display brings high expectations for the semi finals.
