GUISBOROUGH UNDER 15’S Old Brodelins’S

Guisborough Under 15's entertained Old Brods on Sunday in the semi-final of the Yorkshire Plate, in very wet and strength sapping conditions. The Guisborough forwards played magnificently against a very well drilled opposition and kept Brods in their own half of the field for the first 20 minutes of the game without getting any reward. The only scores of the first half were a hard won try for centre Tom Lynn and a 30-yard penalty from fly half James Clark. The second half followed much in the same vein with Guisborough forcing the play. Scrum half Tom Crown scored a fine try under the posts after more superb forward play by Guisborough. The conversion was straightforward for James Clark taking the score to 15-0. This is how it stayed until Brods got a consolation score in the very last minute.

Final score Guisborough 15 – 5 Old Brods. Guisborough now meet Otley in the final.
